About us

A letter from the owner

My name is Landon Breedlove.  I am the owner and creative director of Blinded Clothing.  Since I was a little kid, I have always dreamed of starting my own clothing brand.  I have had a passion for clothes for as long as I can remember and have spent a long time deciding how I would fit into the fashion world and what I could do different than other brands to stand out and make an impact on people.  A few years ago, sitting in a high school art class, the eye logo came to me.  I don't know why or how, but it did and I liked it.  I immediately started trying to come up with names for the brand that would go with the logo.  I probably thought about it for about a year, and one day Blinded just came in my head out of the blue.  I went with it.  I ended up sitting on the name and logo for probably another year just being busy with life and then decided it was time for me to start really figuring out my goal with this brand and figuring out my next move.

As a big music fan, I watched a lot of my past favorite artists start to become really demonic, and it started getting into their music and especially into what they wore.  Many artists started using upside down crosses or devil horns in their music videos, performances, and in their clothing.  As I started to become more aware of what it was like in the music world, I saw it leaking into the fashion world as well.  This was really sad to watch, but it ultimately brought me closer to God, which I am very thankful for.  The day I decided what my brand would be about was when I went to this big event in Atlanta called ThriftCon.  I was walking around and saw this guy wearing a hoodie that said, "Jesus is a *expletive."  It was a good-looking hoodie design-wise, but was absolutely ruined by that message.  It disgusted me.  It truly hurt me to see someone wearing that and put that message into the world, and that made me realize what my calling was; to make clothes that promote God and promote good messages in a world where it is becoming more and more trendy to hate God and Christianity and promote evil.

When I realized that I wanted to promote God with my brand, I started to realize what Blinded would mean and why God gave me that vision and idea.  It can be interpreted differently, but to me, in the case of my brand, you can be "Blinded" in many ways.  You can be blinded by the light of God, blinded by sin, blinded by what you see on the news, blinded by anything really, but you're given pathways to choose what you want to be blinded by, and I feel that the right choice will always be God.

My goal is to always have half of each drop be regular streetwear items and the other half be Christian items.  That way there is something for everyone and you can have a wide variety of items in your closet, but I really hope these items will make being a Christian more appealing, especially to the youth.  I feel that Christian culture isn't as appealing as it could be, and I hope to change that.  I may not be looking in the right places, but it seems like there is never anything different being done in the Christian community to make it more appealing.  And with music and fashion constantly changing and new stuff coming out in those worlds, it seems easy to me for the youth to be more focused on those things than they are on God, which is what I was doing.  I'm very passionate about trying to make what I create something the youth will love and give them a better choice over what today's satanic celebrities and culture is trying to get them to buy into.  I believe God has given me this purpose.

I have a lot planned for the future that I am excited to share with you all.  This is just the beginning.  Thank you for the support.
